Our final London property auction of 2026 takes place live at Claridge’s in Mayfair on Monday 14 December. It is the last chance this year to buy or sell under an unconditional auction contract. You can exchange on the fall of the hammer. Completion takes place in the new year.

Auction offers a speed and certainty that a traditional sale can’t match. Every lot is sold on an unconditional auction contract: when the hammer falls, contracts are exchanged. You pay a 10% deposit on the day. Completion follows on the date in the lot’s special conditions. This is usually 20 business days later. For this sale, that means around mid-January 2027. In addition, there is no gazumping, no chains and no months of uncertainty.
Our catalogues include residential homes, investment properties, development land and small commercial sites across London and the rest of the country. Each lot has its own page with photographs, the guide price, viewing arrangements and the full legal pack. This allows you to start your due diligence early.
There are few finer places to buy property than Claridge’s, and you are welcome to join us in the room on the day. If you can’t be there, you can bid online in real time. Alternatively, you can bid by telephone or proxy by arrangement.

Online bidders pay a £2,000 security deposit, which is refunded to unsuccessful bidders within 48 hours.
The deposit is 10% of the price (minimum £3,000). A buyer’s premium applies to each lot, typically between 1% and 3% of the price (minimum £2,000) plus VAT. There is also a contract documents charge of £850 plus VAT. Some lots also carry VAT on the price or other costs set out in the special conditions. The exact figures are shown on each lot page and in the legal pack. This way, you know your full costs before you bid.
