Registering to Bid with Palace Auctions London
Your Journey to Successful Bidding Starts Here
Welcome to Palace Auctions London. We understand that registering to bid at auction might seem daunting at first, but we’ve made the process as straightforward as possible. Let us guide you through everything you need to know.
Getting Started
Before you can raise your paddle or click that bid button, we’ll need to verify who you are. It’s all about creating a secure environment for both buyers and sellers. You’ll need some basic documentation – a valid photo ID (your passport or driving licence will do nicely), a recent proof of address, and evidence that you have funds available for the deposit. If you’ve already appointed a solicitor, having their details handy will speed things up too.
“We’ve simplified the registration process to get you bidding as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest security standards.”
Choosing How to Register
We believe in flexibility, so we offer two main ways to register. Our online portal is available 24/7, perfect for those who prefer to handle things digitally. Simply complete the form, upload your documents, and we’ll typically verify you within a couple of hours during business hours.
Prefer a more personal touch? Visit us at our London office, where our friendly team can verify your documents on the spot and answer any questions you might have. No appointment necessary – just pop in during office hours.
Your Bidding Options
Once you’re registered, you’ve got several ways to bid. Many people love the excitement of bidding in person – there’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of a live auction room. But we know that’s not always possible or preferable for everyone.
That’s why we also offer real-time online bidding through our secure platform. Can’t make it to your computer? Our telephone bidding service puts one of our experienced team members on your side, acting on your instructions for lots over £100,000. And if you know your maximum bid in advance, our proxy bidding service could be perfect for you – we’ll bid on your behalf up to your specified limit.
The Financial Side
Let’s talk about the practical aspects. When you’re successful in your bidding (and we hope you will be!), you’ll need to pay a 10% deposit immediately. The minimum is £5,000 where applicable, and you can pay by debit card or bank transfer. We also accept banker’s drafts, but not credit cards.
“Being prepared financially is key to auction success. Have your deposit funds ready – it makes the process smooth and stress-free.”
On Auction Day
If you’re joining us in person, arrive early and bring your ID. There’s nothing worse than missing out on your perfect property because of last-minute registration issues. Remember, whether you’re bidding in person, online, by phone, or by proxy, a successful bid is legally binding. Contracts exchange immediately, and completion is typically within 28 days.
Here to Help
We know auctions can be exciting and sometimes nerve-wracking experiences. That’s why our dedicated team is always on hand to help, whether you need assistance with registration, document verification, or just have general questions about the auction process.
