A UK real estate portfolio valued in excess of £100 million is being offered to the worldwide market by Palace Auctions London. This is to fund new investment in Nairobi, including the mining and gold sectors.
Dr Anwar Ansari, the South Croydon property investor, and his family office are moving the majority of their investment portfolio from the United Kingdom to Kenya. Nairobi is the first focus, with new investment planned in sectors including mining and gold.
The move is the next stage of Dr Ansari’s 2026 portfolio and investment plan, which took effect in April 2026. To fund it, Dr Ansari is offering to the worldwide market a UK real estate portfolio valued in excess of £100 million. Buyers in the UK, Africa, the Gulf, Europe, Asia and North America are invited to take part.
“We are freeing up funds for Africa, and especially for Nairobi,” said Dr Ansari.
A Portfolio Already Selling
Palace Auctions London was appointed sole selling agent for Dr Ansari and his family office in May 2026. Since then it has been instructed on a growing number of assets. These are offered by auction at Claridge’s in Mayfair and by private treaty. Moreover, sales are completing month by month.
- Heald Green: recently sold successfully
- Land at Courtrai Road: soon to be sold
- Castle Point and major Croydon assets: about to enter the auction and open markets
- Commercial and mixed-use buildings: Cygnet House, Exchange Court and NatWest House
- Development land: land at Streatham, two development sites in South Wales and large building plots
- Residential investment: more than 400 individual investment apartments

The larger assets are being brought to market first. The next Palace Auctions sale is our London property auction at Claridge’s on Monday 14 December 2026. However, offers are welcome before then by private treaty.
Ready, Willing and Able to Invest
Dr Ansari said: “My family built this portfolio over many years in South Croydon and across the UK. Our 2026 plan is clear: we are releasing that capital and investing it in Kenya, starting in Nairobi, in mining, gold and real estate. We are ready to invest, we are committed for the long term, and the sales now under way show that we have the means to do it.”
